■ Business agreement signed to conserve marine ecosystems and enhance biodiversity in national parks… three-year restoration project of eelgrass (Zostera marina) meadows along the coastal waters of Geumodo Island, Yeosu, within Dadohaehaesang National Park.

On the 3rd, 바카라사이트 Chemical signed the “Agreement for the Conservation of Marine Ecosystems and the Enhancement of Marine Biodiversity in National Parks” with the Korea National Park Service at the Korea National Park Service Smart Work Center in Mapo-gu, Seoul. Attendees were Kim Young-beon, Head of the Communications Division at 바카라사이트 Chemical, and Choi Jong-won, Director of Resource Conservation at the Korea National Park Service, among many others.
This agreement was established to enhance marine biodiversity and conserve marine ecosystems through the restoration of seagrass meadows (eelgrass communities), which serve as spawning grounds and habitats for marine life.
Through this agreement, 바카라사이트 Chemical will support a three-year eelgrass meadow restoration project through 2027 along the coastal waters of Geumodo Island, Yeosu, within Dadohaehaesang National Park, covering an area of approximately 0.1 hectares (1,000㎡). By planting around 10,000 eelgrass (Zostera marina) plants—designated by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as a species of Least Concern—the project will restore marine habitats and support research on species diversity of marine life, including endangered species.
바카라사이트 Chemical and the Korea National Park Service plan to restore the health of marine ecosystems through the restoration of eelgrass, which plays a key role in maintaining clean marine environments through functions such as water purification.
The project will be carried out in stages over a total of three years. The first year will be devoted to building the “basic ecological foundation” by choosing the restoration candidate sites based on site suitability surveys and transplanting the eelgrass. In the second year, “stabilization of ecological recovery” will take place to remove all disturbing factors such as marine debris within the restoration sites and monitor the effects of restoration. In the third year, post-restoration management and surveys and research on marine species will be conducted to build a “sustainable marine environment.”
A 바카라사이트 Chemical official stated, “This agreement represents an important first step toward conserving marine ecosystems and achieving carbon neutrality,” adding, “We plan to contribute to the creation of a sustainable marine environment by promoting various projects, including research on endangered marine species and environmental and ecological education programs for children.”
