On July 22, Lotte Chemical Group held the 2025 Leadership Summit at the Lotte Human Resources Development Center in Osan, bringing together executives and team leaders from Lotte Chemicals, Lotte Fine Chemicals, Lotte Energy Materials, and Lotte Aluminum. The summit was organized to explore strategies for overcoming crises and driving organizational innovation through practical leadership in today’s rapidly changing business landscape.

The morning session focused on sharing updates on the group's current management status and future strategic direction. It was followed by a lecture of a visiting speaker on business innovation. In the afternoon, Lotte Chemical Group President Lee Young-jun delivered a keynote speech, followed by a roundtable discussion on practical management innovation and the role of leadership, joined by CEOs of key chemical affiliates.

In his address, Lee emphasized the importance of leading innovation from a business perspective. “It’s time to enhance our capabilities by shifting toward a customer-and-market-centered approach and expanding into new markets,” he said. He further underscored the need to “clearly understand our fundamental core competencies and actively identify new business opportunities through trailblazing efforts.”

Recognizing the unique gathering of the group’s top leaders, Lee also delivered a strong leadership message: “Innovation ultimately comes from people. The accumulation of small, everyday changes—driven by mindset and attitude—can lead to significant transformation,” he said. “Leaders must become ambidextrous, striking a balance between creativity and operational efficiency.”

He concluded with encouragement: “Although many obstacles may lie ahead in navigating this period of uncertainty, we must trust in our organizational strength and have confidence in our competitive capabilities to fulfill our responsibilities.”

Lotte Chemical Group plans to continue hosting similar gatherings to regularly share business updates and align on strategic direction and goals.
