Lotte Chemical Publishes the 2024 ESG 바카라 에볼루션

Lotte Chemical has published its 2024 ESG 바카라 에볼루션, which outlines key activities and achievements in the areas of environment, social responsibility, and governance. This year’s report includes, for the first time, details on the 바카라 에볼루션’s climate change response and biodiversity impact assessment.

Lotte Chemical also included a pilot report reflecting IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) S2 Climate-related Disclosures, which is the global disclosure standard established by the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) to strengthen its climate change response, and to become mandatory in Korea.

The pilot report was prepared using a separate set of criteria with voluntary disclosure in mind. It introduces climate-related risks and opportunities relevant to the 바카라 에볼루션’s business, and outlines how these factors may impact the 바카라 에볼루션 financially. Lotte Chemical plans to implement a phased approach to information collection and disclosure in order to proactively respond to future mandatory sustainability reporting requirements.

Additionally, to address biodiversity issues, the report features new contents evaluating and managing the 바카라 에볼루션’s dependence and impact on natural capital at its domestic sites. Assessments were conducted across eight operating regions in Korea using the LEAP approach* recommended by the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD). This includes analyzing key natural capital topics, related risks, and opportunities.

Lotte Chemical has updated its “Green Promise 2030” 바카라 에볼루션 strategy, originally announced in 2022, to establish and manage an integrated 바카라 에볼루션 strategy that includes the broader Lotte Chemical Group. The updated strategy expands 바카라 에볼루션 management initiatives—such as carbon neutrality, RE100 implementation, and product sustainability enhancement—to its affiliated companies.

In addition, to strengthen integrated 바카라 에볼루션 governance, Lotte Chemical established the Carbon Task Force Council in March 2025 to support its carbon neutrality goals. A working-level task force is operated under this council to promote interdepartmental collaboration and facilitate knowledge exchange while assisting higher-level committees to evolve into a platform for open internal innovation.
